Based on the iconic DC Comics character, Arrow, a modern-day re-imagining of the superhero for television, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray Combo Pack by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group (WBHEG) on September 17, 2013. In its debut season, Arrow was the #1 TV series on The CW with Total Viewers, averaging over 4 million every week. Renewed for a second season, Arrow will return to The CW this fall. Arrow: The Complete First Season contains all 23 gripping episodes from the first season, plus over an hour of bonus content, including a documentary, two behind-the-scenes featurettes, highlights from the Arrow panel at Paley Fest 2013, deleted scenes, and a gag reel. NATALIE: Even though DC Comics fans have always suspected that Roy would go on to become Oliver’s sidekick Speedy, the Season 1 finale seemed to indicate that he might skip over that and go on to become Red Arrow or Arsenal. (He is always wearing that red hoodie!) “One of the fun elements is what I call the comic book destinies for each of the characters and seeing how much they’ll follow those destinies and how much they’ll deviate,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim says of Roy’s future. “As we’ve probably shown a couple times in Season 1, we like to be unpredictable.”

Bittersweetest Goodbye

Everybody misses Colton Haynes, who was Jason the jerk to Tyler Posey’s sweet, somewhat insecure Scott McCall for the first two seasons until the drastic, violent finale. His real-life best friend, Holland Roden, who plays Lydia, says Haynes will “be in my life forever.” Crystal Reed, who intimidates fans as intense huntress Allison, bemoans the business: “I hear Colton is doing incredibly well, and that makes me so happy. From an actor’s standpoint, some things are just business. It’s bittersweet.” Finally, Tyler Hoechlin, aka the original lone alpha, Derek, says it’s a lonelier place without Haynes. Sigh. OK, time for a laugh.

Best Kissing Kanima

Season 2 marked the introduction of the shape-shifting kanima, and as you might imagine, it is not easy to make out with one of those guys. Reed shares: “He couldn’t take off his costume, so he had a pee hole and there was a tube. We were full-on making out. It was the grossest thing. That’s not on the gag reel. And nothing fazes me now.”

“Teen Wolf” Season 3 premieres Monday, 6/13 at 10 PM on MTV, and Season 2 is now available on DVD.

Colton Haynes, who has known Donnell off-screen for years, had just signed on to join the show full-time when he learned that his buddy would be bowing out. “We’re old friends, we met at a poker tournament in Vegas — because that’s where you meet best friends,” he says. As sad as Haynes was to see Donnell go, he’s not too worried about him. “Colin went and booked a massive movie with Elizabeth Banks, now he’s doing [Shakespeare] in the Park. I feel like this was really something that’s going to skyrocket him to the next thing.”

Speaking of Starling City sweethearts: Relative newcomer Colton Haynes, who will be a series regular come Season 2, was pleased to see his Roy Harper take selfless action in the finale, running to the rescue of his neighbors rather than speed outta town with Thea — a certain signs of things to come for Oliver’s one-day sidekick. But, the actor shares, an even more revelatory finale moment was left on the cutting room floor.

Somewhere in between Thea helping Roy vanquish a gang of street thugs and the couple’s mid-quake kiss, “They cut out an entire scene that would’ve given a lot more away,” Haynes shares. “It was a big scene … that might’ve told you the route that Thea is going, or the route that Roy is going. But I think they didn’t want to give too much away.” With those teases tendered, he invites viewers to “draw your own conclusions!”
